The Clemenceau Heritage Museum is maintained and operated by volunteers from the non-profit Verde Historical Society. The museum preserves and displays the artifacts and heritage - written, oral, living - of the Verde Valley. Admission is free, donations gratefully accepted. This site offers information on the displays and activities provided by the Museum, located at 1 N. Willard (corner Mingus), Cottonwood, AZ 86326.

The Clemenceau Public School was constructed in 1923-24 by James (Rawhide Jimmy) Douglas of the United Verde Extension Copper Company. The school housed grades K-9. During the years 1947-1958, it also served as the accredited "Cottonwood High School". 1986 was the last year for classes in the original school building. Today the North end of the building houses the Cottonwood Oak Creek School District Offices. The South end of the building is home to the Clemenceau Heritage Museum.
